Baptist Health is seeking Registered Nurses to join our team in the Emergency Department. We currently have Full-time Night Shift positions across our four adult hospitals - Baptist Jacksonville (Downtown), Baptist South, Baptist Beaches, and Baptist Clay along with our Free-Standing Emergency Departments. This opportunity is for a designated position in a single Emergency Department location. This is not a float or flex position.

Registered Nurse, Job Responsibilities

  • Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition
  • Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
  • Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
  • Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
  • Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
  • Act as the patient advocate
  • Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities

Experience Requirements:

  • 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
  • 1-2 years Emergency Department Experience Preferred
  • Hospital Experience
  • Telemetry Experience

Education & Credential Requirements:

  • Associate of Science in Nursing Required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing Preferred
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
  • Certified Emergency Registered Nurse (CEN) Preferred
  • Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification Preferred
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) Preferred
