Job Summary

**Sign-On Bonus Eligible Up to $7,500** Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist ED North, located at Baptist Emergency at Dunn Avenue. This is a Full-Time, Night shift opportunity with a 36-hour per week commitment, working 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. The Baptist North Emergency Center is located at the northeast intersection of I-295 and Dunn Avenue and brings the high-quality care of Baptist Health and Wolfson Children’s Hospital to residents of northwest Jacksonville. As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will:• Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to patients with a wide range of medical, surgical, and emergent conditions• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and plans of care• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality care• Coordinate services provided by ancillary departments to support optimal patient outcomes• Serve as a patient advocate, promoting patient safety, dignity, and satisfaction• Uphold and embody the mission, vision, and values of Baptist Health• Participate in staff meetings, unit-based initiatives, and continuous quality improvement activities Registered Nurse, Emergency Department, Experience

• 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience

• Telemetry Experience

• Emergency Department Experience Preferred

• Hospital Experience

Registered Nurse, Emergency Department, Education• Associate of Science in Nursing Required• Bachelor of Science in Nursing Preferred

Registered Nurse, Emergency Department, Licenses and Certifications• Licensed Registered Nurse Required• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred• Certified Emergency Registered Nurse (CEN) Preferred• Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred• NIH Stroke Scale Certification Preferred• Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) Preferred

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services• Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care• Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care• Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.Certification- ACLS required within 6 months for the Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs• PALS required within 1 year of hire for the Free Standing EDs and required within 6 months for WCH ED.
