Job Summary

Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN day shift opportunity.

The Endoscopy unit provides specialized procedural care in a collaborative environment. This role is ideal for nurses with surgical or procedural experience who enjoy patient interaction and fast-paced workflows.

Registered Nurse Job Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Prepare patients and rooms for procedures
• Coordinate care with ancillary services
• Educate patients and families on procedures and recovery
• Complete documentation and patient assessments

Registered Nurse Experience:

• 1–2 years Surgical Services Experience (required)
• Medical Surgical Nursing Experience (required)

Registered Nurse Education & Credential Requirements:

• Associate of Science in Nursing (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
• Licensed Registered Nurse (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (required)
• Conscious Sedation Certification (preferred)

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization; supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Responsibilities include knowledge of all areas of care to Gastroenterology and conscious sedation with ability to perform patient assessments pre/post procedure. This position requires call.*Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.

• Emergency Department Experience

License and Certification

• ACLS & PALS
