Baptist Medical Center is currently looking to add a Speech Language Pathologist to our Acute Care Rehab Team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time opportunity working a full-time, days schedule at our Downtown campus.
This is a full-time opportunity working in an adult acute care setting. The ideal candidate would have previous experience in Modified Barium Swallow Studies in an acute care setting.
Speech Language Pathologist, Acute Care Rehab, Job Responsibilities:
Evaluates and treats patients of all diagnoses.
Provides extensive patient/family education.
Participates in multidisciplinary team care with other rehab professionals, nursing, physicians, dietitians, social services, respiratory, support staff, etc.
Works in a fast-paced setting requiring good time management, detailed documentation skills in the EMR, self-directed, and effective communication skills.
Experience Requirements:
Preferred: 1 or more years Experience working in an Acute Care setting
Experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies
Education & Credential Requirements:
- Master of Science Or Master of Arts Required
- Licensed Speech Language Pathologist Required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required from the American Heart Association Required
