Job Summary

Baptist Health is hiring a System Analyst to join our Sterile Processing Department in Jacksonville, FL at the Southbank Plaza.

Under supervision of the Executive Director of System Sterile Processing, and following established policies, procedures, and guidelines, this role provides centralized leadership and governance for the Instrument Tracking platform, serving as the primary liaison between executive leadership, operational teams, and key partners to ensure data integrity, standardization, and system reliability across all levels of the Operating Room.

System Analyst, Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a primary liaison with executive and operational leaders to ensure disciplined governance of data changes and system integrity across all OR levels
  • Establishes and manages a specialized role responsible for maintaining clean, standardized, and uniform data within the Instrument Tracking platform
  • Leads initial system build, program implementation, and enterprise rollout of Instrument Tracking platform, ensuring alignment with operational and clinical requirements
  • Owns ongoing platform management, including upgrades and enhancements, working directly with the Instrument Tracking vendor to coordinate and execute system changes
  • Evaluates vendor‑provided resources to assess scope of involvement, ensuring support extends beyond data maintenance to include analytics and reporting capabilities
  • Extracts, analyzes, and interprets Instrument Tracking data in alignment with defined KPIs to generate actionable insights for operational decision‑making
  • Provides consultative support to area leaders, translating data and KPI trends into meaningful guidance that informs performance improvement and strategic decisions
  • Collaborates closely with IT, and partners as needed with Finance and Supply Chain, to support system integration, budgeting, and data flow across platforms
  • Acts as a potential business lead for finance and supply chain analytics within the Instrument Tracking platform, based on demonstrated skill set and organizational need
  • Engages with vendors to support management of tray consignment agreements and optimization of inventory par levels
  • The position owns the end‑to‑end lifecycle of the Instrument Tracking platform, including initial system build, enterprise implementation, ongoing platform management, and coordination of upgrades and enhancements in partnership with the vendor.
  • In addition to overseeing data governance, the role is responsible for extracting, analyzing, and interpreting Instrument Tracking data aligned to established KPIs, translating insights into actionable guidance that supports operational, financial, and strategic decision‑making.
  • The role collaborates closely with IT, and as needed with Finance and Supply Chain, to support system integration, budgeting, and analytics, while also engaging vendors to optimize tray consignment agreements and inventory par levels, ensuring the platform delivers maximum value to the organization.

Experience Requirements:

  • 3-5 years Working in all areas of sterile processing
  • 3-5 years Reporting & Data analystics experience
  • 3-5 years SuperUser experience with instrument tracking platforms

Education & Credential Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree Required
