Baptist Medical Center South is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join our Sterile Processing Department at our South campus. This is a full-time days shift position, working Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting surgical services by ensuring instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, assembled, and available for patient care.
As a Sterile Processing Tech, your responsibilities include:
Perform decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment
Inspect, assemble, and wrap instrument trays and linen for sterilization
Select appropriate supplies and sterilization methods
Operate sterilization equipment while following established protocols
Demonstrate knowledge of sterilization principles and best practices
Prioritize workload while maintaining accuracy and quality standards
Experience Requirements:
1-2 years Instrument Experience
1-2 years Surgical Instrumentation Experience
Education & Credential Requirements:
High School Diploma
