Baptist Health once again named one of the ‘Best Places to Work in IT’
The health system features among Computerworld’s top-rated employers for technology professionals for the second year in a row.
Jacksonville, FL.
Baptist Health has been named among the “Best Places to Work in IT” by Foundry’s Computerworld for the second year in a row. In the publication’s 2026 list, the health system ranked 17th worldwide among large organizations with 5,000+ employees.
The annual report surveys companies to determine the top work environments for technology professionals. It looks at employer programs across a range of categories, including employee benefits, career development, future of work, training and retention. The rankings are then scored and vetted by a panel of industry experts.
“In today’s rapidly evolving technology landscape, creating a workplace culture built on collaboration, innovation and continuous professional development is a competitive advantage,” said Aaron Miri, DHA, FCHIME, CHCIO, executive vice president and chief digital and information officer at Baptist Health. “We have a talented team of IT professionals who are energized by novel solutions and the opportunities they create to reimagine and enhance the health care experience.”
Baptist Health is widely recognized for harnessing emergent technologies to streamline operations and enhance patient care and satisfaction. It was one of the first health care systems in the U.S. to collaborate with Microsoft on a new AI solution that uses voice-activated ambient listening technology to streamline the charting process for nurses, reducing the time spent on manual documentation and increasing quality time spent with patients. Baptist Health also recently earned the prestigious Level 10 designation for the acute and ambulatory categories in CHIME’s “Digital Health Most Wired” survey for the third consecutive year.
Understanding that when a workforce thrives, the community also thrives, Baptist Health continues to support initiatives that promote team member well-being and positive work environments. Flexible work models and professional growth programs help retain talent and fill in-demand positions as well as improve engagement and job satisfaction.
Earlier this year, Baptist Health was named one of “America’s Greatest Workplaces in Health Care” by Newsweek magazine and was also featured on Becker’s Hospital Review’s list of “150 Top Places to Work in Health Care.”
