Three-time tech leader: Baptist Health earns top ranking on CHIME’s ‘Most Wired’ Digital Health Survey
This is the third consecutive year the health system has received the highest designation for leveraging digital strategies to improve patient care and outcomes.
Jacksonville, FL.
Baptist Health has once again been recognized for its commitment to advancing health care delivery and enhancing the patient experience through technology. This is the third year in a row that the health system has earned the prestigious Level 10 designation – the highest possible recognition – for the acute and ambulatory categories in the “Digital Health Most Wired” survey conducted by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). This places Baptist Health among an elite group of 18 organizations worldwide, out of 50,000 surveyed, to achieve this top honor from the world’s largest network of health care IT professionals.
“We are honored to have received the highest designation from CHIME for the third consecutive year,” said Michael A. Mayo, DHA, FACHE, president and CEO of Baptist Health. “Our dedication to excellence and innovation continues to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of the communities we proudly serve.”
Inclusion in the annual “Digital Health Most Wired” survey indicates excellence in key focus areas such as clinical quality and safety, analytics and data management, cybersecurity, population health, infrastructure, patient engagement and innovation. The survey evaluates the adoption maturity, outcomes and value of technology integration across health care organizations at all stages of digital maturity – from early phase digitization to advanced transformation.
Achieving Level 10 status in this international benchmarking program is a testament to Baptist Health’s rigorous approach to digital transformation, and the meaningful implementation of innovative health strategies and evidence-based outcomes in acute and ambulatory care environments. Participants are ranked from one to ten, with Level nine and 10 reserved for health care technology leaders who are driving the industry forward through cutting-edge digital initiatives.
A key factor in Baptist Health’s recognition is its commitment to enhancing the patient experience through user-friendly digital platforms, including the My Baptist Chart patient portal and the Baptist Access wayfinding app. These tools provide patients with timely, personalized support and make navigating care easier than ever. The health system’s ongoing optimization of electronic health records and adoption of artificial intelligence tools, such as voice-driven AI, also helped set it apart from peers.
“From innovations in A.I. to maximizing the potential of electronic health records, technology is revolutionizing the health care landscape,” said Aaron Miri, DHA, FCHIME, CHCIO, executive vice president and chief digital and information officer at Baptist Health. “The integration of advanced digital tools into our core operations is helping to empower our patients, support caregivers and streamline workflows for our clinicians.”
