Christine "Chris" Smith Biography and Information
Christine “Chris” Smith is the vice president of Patient Care Services for Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville.
She has more than 25 years of progressive clinical and administrative leadership in various roles of health care. She first joined the Baptist Health family in 2012 as a nurse manager at Baptist Medical Center South, and was promoted to director of Critical Care in 2014. In 2019, she became the director of the Heart Hospital at Baptist Jacksonville.
Chris earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and a Master of Science in Nursing from Jacksonville University. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice-Executive Nurse Leadership degree from Baylor University.
Chris and her husband, John, are proud parents of young men, and spend much of their time outside of work at swim meets or traveling.
