Eric Young joined the health system as Vice President of Operations at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville in May 2025. He is responsible for several clinical and non-clinical support areas, including Security/Emergency Management, Environmental Services, Food and Nutrition Services, Imaging, Laboratory, and Heart Center.

Eric is an accomplished leader with nearly 20 years of experience in health care administration and ancillary services. He most recently served as chief operating officer for Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center, a 269-bed facility in Mechanicsville, Virginia. His professional experience also includes leadership roles at Sentara Healthcare, including system director for Consolidated Laboratory Services and vice president of Operations at Sentara Leigh Hospital.

Eric received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Tech and his Master of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a Certified Healthcare Operations Professional and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

During his free time, Eric enjoys hiking, exploring parks, boating, and visiting amusement parks with his spouse and children.
