Baptist Health currently offers in-person and pre-recorded Baby Care Basics classes.

Getting ready for your baby is such an exciting time. This class is designed to help first time parents learn the practical and essential skills needed for your newborn during the first three months after birth. These skills include:

  • Basics of infant care from diapering to bathing
  • Safe swaddling and Safe Sleep guidelines
  • Learning infant massage
  • Comfort cues
  • Feeding tips
  • When to call the doctor

In-Person Class

This class is taught by a Baptist Health nurse with maternal newborn experience. It consists of one 6-hour Saturday session including lectures and several hands on practice sessions with our life size baby dolls.

View this pre-recorded class at your leisure within the next 30 days from your computer, tablet or smartphone.

Registration is required for these classes. Please allow 5 days for the zoom link to be sent to you. Please check your spam folder if not in the email you provided to us. These classes are non-refundable once the link is sent.

Class Refund Policy

To accommodate others who wish to attend in-person classes we ask that all cancellations be submitted at least 72 hours prior to the start of the class. If you paid a fee for the event and you submitted the cancellation notice 72 hours or more to the start of the event you can either apply the class fee to another Baptist Health event or request a refund. These classes are not recorded and presentations from the class will not be made available.

All pre-recorded classes are non-refundable.
