We are looking for Assistant Nurse Manager (RN) to join our Medical Surgical Unit at Baptist Medical Center in Fernandina Beach, FL. This unit typically see a 6:1 ratio and is accountable for providing care to patients, adult and geriatric alike, who require advanced care. We have opportunities available for Full Time Day shift at our Nassau campus.

As the Assistant Nurse Manager Surgical for Baptist Nassau, you will be responsible for the following.

  • Assists the Nurse Manager of the Surgical Unit with unit/area operations.
  • Works closely with direct care personnel to ensure delivery of quality patient care.
  • Facilitates patient throughput. Takes lead role in implementing changes.
  • Supports and coaches unit personnel in development.
  • Takes a direct patient care assignment as needed.
  • Staffing and scheduling of unit personnel.

Education Required

Associate's Degree - Nursing

Education Preferred

Bachelor's Degree - Nursing

Experience

  • 3-5 Years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience

License and Certification

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
