These specialty practices include areas like AgeWell, Behavioral Health, Endocrinology, Heart Specialists, Infectious Diseases, Neurology, Pulmonary Specialists, Rheumatology, and Urology.
Baptist Health is hiring Medical Assistants (MA) for Full-time Primary Care and PRN Float Pool positions across the organization at various locations in Jacksonville, Florida and surrounding areas.
In the Baptist MA Float Pool, the candidate will work from different Primary Care office locations. Responsibilities will include rooming patients and answering clinical calls. The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to work different offices with different needs.
Candidates will be primarily responsible for back office tasks for a provider, including rooming patients, prior authorizations of medications, assisting with incoming calls and working Workques. Experience in various specialites is welcome. Certification is a plus but not required.
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Providing nursing assistance to physician
- Obtaining vital signs
- Greeting and chaperoning patients during medical visit
- Maintaining medical documentation
- Scheduling care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
- Processing prescription requests and referrals
