Job Summary

Baptist Health is looking to add a Cardiac Echo Sonographer to our Diagnostic Cardiology Department at our Heart Center in Downtown Jacksonville. This is a PRN opportunity offering various day shifts between 6:30 am and 5 pm. Call NOT required.

We are seeking someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and a commitment to patient care and safety. This Sonographer will operate ultrasound equipment that provides moving 2-D or 3-D images of the heart and will also help physicians diagnose heart problems in patients.

As a Cardiac Echo Sonographer, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing diagnostic examinations of the heart using Ultrasound techniques.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
  • Reviewing and recording cases.
  • Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure accurate and high-quality images
  • Providing as-needed backup to other non-invasive areas of the Cardiac Department.
  • Assist the working physicians in diagnosing heart problems in patients.
