Baptist Medical Center is currently looking to add an Electrophysiology (EP) Technologist also known as a Invasive Cardiology Technologist at our Heart Rhythm Center located in Jacksonville, FL. This EP Technologist opportunity is a Full-time, day shift opportunity working a schedule of four, 10 hour shifts that will be during Monday through Friday 6:30am to 5:00pm. No call or weekends will be required for this EP Technologist. This EP Technologist performs diagnostic EP procedures and interventions such as electrocardiograms as well as preparing patients for their procedures, ensuring all equipment is working properly and safely, monitoring the recording during procedures, assisting with lab analysis and interpretation, you may also assist physicians with pacing and installations of devices.

As an Electrophysiology (EP) Technologist you will be responsible for:

  • Performing technical duties such as scrubbing and hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Recording for EP procedures, RF ablations and pacemakers/ICD's.
  • Assisting with monitoring and care of patients as directed.

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree

Experience

  • Less than 1 year Cath Laboratory Experience
  • Experience working at another hospital

License and Certification

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Registered Technologist in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography ARRT (CI) Required Or
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT Required Or
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Required Or
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist Required
