Baptist Health is looking to add a Certified Medical Assistant to our Agewell team!
The AgeWell Department is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support their team. AgeWell services patients 65+ and is growing rapidly at Baptist! The Certified Medical Assistant will cross train as a front office staff to support them as needed. This position requires a candidate to have their CMA license as well as strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and strong clinical experience.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Locatioin: Senior Care at Fernandina Beach (This position may require occasional travel to other sites or locations, based on operational needs.)
Certified Medical Assistant, Baptist AgeWell Department, Job Responsibilities:
- Provides nursing assistance to physician.
- Obtains vital signs.
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit.
- Responsible for telephone triage and patient education.
- Maintains medical documentation.
- Schedules care, treatment, and diagnostic tests, per physician.
- Processes CLIA waived tests, prescription requests, and referrals.
- Cross trains in front office, referrals area, and other areas.

Experience
- Over 5 years Patient Care Experience
- Experience in Physician's office
License and Certification
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required
