Job Summary
Baptist Health is currently seeking a Clinical Exercise Physiologist to join our Cardiac Rehab Unit at Baptist Clay in Fleming Island, FL. This is a PRN opportunity with flexible day shift hours. The Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) will provide comprehensive exercise assessment, prescription, and supervision for patients recovering from cardiac-related illnesses. The CEP plays an essential role in promoting lifestyle modification, risk factor management, and long-term heart health in a safe, supportive environment.
As a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, your responsibilities will include:
Providing clinical treatment to Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab patients across Phases I–III
Conducting new patient assessments and ongoing evaluations to inform each Individualized Treatment Plan
Facilitating goal setting, patient education, and exercise prescription/progression tailored to each patient’s needs
Overseeing exercise sessions, including EKG monitoring and interpretation
Completing all relevant documentation and billing, and communicating with physicians as appropriate

- 3-5 Years Pulmonary Rehabilitation Experience
- 3-5 Years Clinical Cardiac Experience
License and Certification
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
- Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP) - ACSM Required Or
- Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) - ACSM Required Or
- Certified Cardiac Rehab Professional (CCRP) Required
