Baptist Health is looking to add an experienced Cytotechnolgist to our Laboratory department at Baptist Downtown for our Peak Staffing (Internal Traveler) Program located in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time opportunity working Monday through Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm.

This position is a key component of Baptist Medical Center's esteemed Internal Traveler Program, offering a 12-week contract. This position is eligible to renew their contract after 12 weeks for up to two contracts in total.

This candidate must have specimen processing experience as well as some Microscopic Interpretation experience. This candidate must also have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited CAAHEA approved program. This candidate must be licensed in the State of Florida before hire.

As a Cytotechnologist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining expertise in collection, processing, staining and microscope interpretation of cytologic specimens.
  • Performing computer, clerical, safety and quality improvement functions as defined in the laboratory general and section specific policy and procedure manuals.
  • Intstructing new employees, Cytotechnologists and Cytopreparatory technicians.

  • Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technician Required
