Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in our Ultrasound Department at Baptist Town Center. A Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is responsible for uses imaging equipment and soundwaves to form images of the bodies organs and tissue. This is a full-time opportunity with a shift of Wednesday - Friday, 6:30am - 7:00pm.

This Diagnostic Medical Sonographer will be responsible for:

• Performs high quality, diagnostic ultrasound and peripheral vascular procedures.
• Promotes good will amongst co-workers and other departments and has a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients.
• Is compliant with mandatory education and health requirements.

Experience

• 1-2 years Hospital Experience
• 1-2 years Customer Service Experience
• Ultrasound Experience
• Experience with vascular ultrasound
• Experience working in a hospital setting

License and Certification

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
• Registered Technologist in Sonography ARRT (S) Required Or
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Songrapher (ARDMS) Required Or
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Preferred Or
• Registered Technologist in Vascular Sonography ARRT (VS) Preferred Or

The new 16-bed emergency center at the St. Johns Town Center houses two emergency centers under one roof - one for adults and one for children.  Conveniently located near the intersection of Interstate 295 and Town Center Parkway, the Baptist/Wolfson Children's emergency center is a true hospital ER, staffed 24/7 by board-certified emergency medicine physicians.  On-site technology includes ultrasound, CT scanner, X-ray, a full service laboratory and telemedicine consultation services.
