Job Summary

Baptist Health is hiring a Director, Claims Management to join the Risk Management team. This is a full-time opportunity located on the downtown Jacksonville campus of Baptist Health.

Responsibilities:

  • This role will assist senior leaders with operational oversight of medical professional liability and general liability claims and litigation, the corporate insurance portfolio, and captive insurance entities.
  • Under the direction of senior leaders, this role is responsible for ensuring effective claims management aligned with industry best practices.
  • The role will work with outside counsel on claim resolution strategy and manage loss runs.
  • This role will analyze claims data to identify trends and recommend improvements to reduce frequency and severity.
  • This role will support senior leaders in oversight of system insurance portfolio and will partner with brokers and carriers to optimize insurance solutions and address emerging risks.

Experience

  • Over 5 years Managing Professional Liability for a Hospital System, Insurance Carrier, or Law Firm Required

License and Certification

  • Associate in Claims (AIC) Preferred Or
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) Preferred
  • Associate in Risk Management (ARM) Preferred Or
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Preferred
