Job Summary

Baptist Health is hiring a Director, Laboratory Services to join the Laboratory Services team.

Director, Laboratory Operations, Central Laboratory, Metro Square Job Responsibilities:

This role provides strategic and operational leadership for laboratories within the assigned scope of responsibility and is accountable for the overall performance, quality, and regulatory compliance of laboratory services. The Director leads operational, financial, and workforce strategies to ensure efficient, high-quality diagnostic testing that supports patient care and clinical decision-making.

Working in partnership with physicians, nursing, and health system leaders, the role aligns laboratory services with clinical and organizational priorities while leveraging operational and quality data to drive performance improvement and innovation. The role also develops laboratory leaders and staff and fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.

Director, Laboratory Operations, Central Laboratory, Metro Square Experience Requirements:

  • Over 5 years Leadership Experience

  • Over 5 years Laboratory Experience

Director, Laboratory Operations, Central Laboratory, Metro Square Education and Certification Requirements:

  • Certified Medical Technologist (MT) Preferred

  • Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) Preferred

  • Licensed Laboratory Supervisor Required

  • Master's degree Required
