Job Summary

Baptist Health is hiring a Director, Med/Surg. to join the Nursing Administration team at Baptist South.

Responsibilities:

  • 24 hour per day assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care on the assigned unit(s).
  • Coordination of patient care with other departments.
  • Interview, orientation, management and continued training of assigned personnel.
  • Accountable for the efficient, effective delivery of patient care in a safe and cost-effective manner on the assigned unit(s) in accordance with the hospital's mission statement.

Education Required

Bachelor's Degree - Nursing

Education Preferred

Master's Degree - Nursing

Experience

  • 3-5 Years Acute Care Leadership Experience
  • Leadership Experience
  • Medical Surgical Experience
  • Experience in Progressive Care

License and Certification

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
