Emergency Department Technician, PRN, Baptist South

Job Summary

Baptist Medical Center is seeking to add an Emergency Department Technician to our Emergency Department at Baptist South. This is a PRN shift opportunity.

At Baptist Health, a Emergency Department Technician plays a vital role in supporting physicians and nurses by delivering high-quality patient care within the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, performing EKGs, collecting specimens, assisting with patient transport, and maintaining a safe, efficient care environment. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and thrives under pressure.

As a Emergency Department Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting RNs in the Emergency Department with the care of patients who have healthcare needs including activities of daily living.

• Maintaining a safe environment.

• Collecting lab specimens.

• Intake and Output monitoring.

• Electronic medical record documentation.

• Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

• Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant - DOH

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA
