As an Enterprise Infrastructure Architecture, you will work very closely with business and all IT teams, approve and reconcile strategic architecture goals with the current state implementations. You will be responsible for driving architectural excellence across the Microsoft ecosystem by defining and governing directives, principles, guidelines and best practices for the organization to follow. You will also recommend iterative paths towards the adoption of strategic architecture goals. The ideal candidate is a hands-on-technologist with significant experience in architecture and engineering of hybrid Microsoft infrastructure platforms and services, including development of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices for an automation first approach.

As an Enterprise Architect Advisor – Azure you will be responsible for:

  • Work closely with business and all IT teams, approve, and reconcile strategic architecture goals with the current state implementations.
  • You will be responsible for driving architectural excellence across the Microsoft Azure ecosystem by defining and governing directives, principles, guidelines, and best practices for the organization to follow.
  • You will also recommend iterative paths towards the adoption of strategic architecture goals.
  • Hands-on-technologist with significant experience in architecture and engineering of hybrid Microsoft infrastructure platforms and services, including development of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices for an automation first approach.
  • Lead cultural change for cloud and automation adoption. Developing and coordinating cloud architecture with business, application, and engineering teams.
  • Developing a cloud strategy and coordinating the adaptation processes. Assessing applications, software and hardware.
  • Establish best practices for cloud across the company.
  • Selecting cloud providers and vetting third-party services. Help develop Cloud Center of Excellence. Develop FinOps processes. Ability to think and operate at scale.
  • Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert in Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud architecture.
  • Design, engineer, and lead the implementation of complex Azure-based solutions including compute, networking, storage, identity, and security.
  • Define and govern architectural standards, best practices, principles, and guidelines for Azure and Microsoft platforms.
  • Develop and implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) strategies using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, or Azure Bicep.
  • Lead high-availability and disaster recovery design and testing for hybrid cloud infrastructure.
  • Guide and influence cost optimization strategies through Microsoft licensing, FinOps, and operational excellence.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure alignment across IT teams.
  • Evaluate, select, and manage vendor solutions to meet enterprise standards and operational goals.
  • Mentor junior technologists and foster a strong engineering culture through knowledge sharing and leadership.
  • Ensure architectural decisions are documented and communicated in line with enterprise standards.

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of related experience Required
  • Extensive hands-on expertise across core Azure services, including IaaS, PaaS, identity and access management (Azure AD), governance, security, networking, and resource management. Proven experience leading cloud migrations and hybrid integrations with Microsoft 365.
  • Broad experience with Microsoft infrastructure technologies supporting Azure deployments, such as Active Directory, Windows Server, SQL Server, Exchange, Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft Intune, and Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and implement IT standards, documentation practices, and automation-first principles.
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools: Terraform, Ansible, Python, Puppet, SCCM, PowerShell.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels—technical and non-technical.
  • Proven ability to mentor and influence junior engineers and architects.
  • Experience leading complex architecture evaluations, gap analyses, and vendor assessments.
