Health Information Management Specialist, Part Time, Baptist Beaches

Job Summary

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Health Information Management Specialist to our Health Information Management department at Baptist Medical Center Beaches. This is a Part-Time day shift opportunity. The primary duty of the HIM Specialist will be deficiency tracking (medical record analysis).

Baptist Beaches provides beaches residents with easy access to comprehensive, high-tech medical and surgical care close to home. We offer the only hospital-based, 24-hour emergency service at the beach.

As a Health Information Management Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• This role will perform a variety of tasks: In ROI processing requests for medical information for patient and continued care requestors with proper authorization by consistently following HIPAA guidelines for timely access
• In Scanning retrieving, prepping, and scanning medical information into the electronic medical record, and ensuring data integrity of the scanned documents
• In Deficiency Tracking reviewing all appropriate documents in ED and outpatient encounters for physician completion in the electronic medical record per regulatory guidelines.
