Internal Medicine Pharmacist, Baptist Downtown

Job Summary

Baptist Health is currently looking for a Decentral Internal Medicine Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy department at our downtown campus. This is a full-time, day shift position working Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with every 4th weekend coverage. As an Internal Medicine Pharmacist, you will be working in non-critical care units in our Weaver Tower, along with nursing, Hospitalists, and other service lines. You will be required to work both independently and on a team. This candidate should posses strong written and verbal skills, be a problem solver, and a go-to resource for physicians and various healthcare professionals. This candidate should also be comfortable having residents shadow their rotations. A strong background in clinical pharmacy experience and/or a completed PGY1 is preferred. Other duties will include:

• Entering orders with great accuracy.
• Checking technician work for accuracy prior to release of medications and solutions to the floor.
• Supervising technicians and serves on committees as assigned.
• Answering questions for all health care professionals.
• Serving as a consultant for members of the medical staff.
• Monitoring patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetics service.

• 1-2 years Experience with Automated Dispensing Devices
• Residency Training
• Experience with Pharmacy Information Systems

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
• Registered Pharmacist Required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Licensed Pharmacist Required
