Baptist Medical Center is currently looking to add an Interventional Radiology (Special Procedures) Technologist to our Special Procedures Department as an Internal Traveler at our Baptist South location in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time opportunity with a rotational call schedule, Monday–Friday. At Baptist, our IR technologists are highly trained healthcare professionals who assist physicians and interventional radiologists in performing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures such as fluoroscopy, ultrasound, or CT. They play a vital role in non-surgical treatments that use imaging to diagnose or treat conditions without making large incisions.

As a Internal Traveler IR Technologist, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing high-quality radiographic imaging using GE Discovery equipment.

  • Functioning as a member of a team performing interventional procedures.

  • Working under sterile conditions, similar to the OR environment.

  • Promoting goodwill among co-workers and other departments, and maintaining a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients.

  • Complying with mandatory education and health requirements.

  • Participating in on-call coverage.

  • Identifying, preparing, administering, and documenting medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner, in accordance with state and federal regulations or lawful institutional policy.

  • Customer Service Experience
  • Experience working in a hospital setting
  • Experience with vascular imaging procedures

License and Certification

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT Required
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist Required
