Baptist Health is seeking a PRN Interventional Radiologic (IR) Technologist to join our Special Procedures Department at Baptist Beaches, located in beautiful Jacksonville Beach, Florida. This is an as-needed opportunity with flexible shift options — perfect for candidates looking to supplement their schedule with meaningful work.
As an Interventional Radiologic Technologist, you will play a vital role in supporting our interventional radiologists by performing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. You’ll ensure that all technical aspects of the imaging process — including equipment operation, patient positioning, sterile field setup, and support — are properly managed.
As an IR Tech at Baptist Health, you will be responsible for:
Operate advanced imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, to obtain high-quality radiographic images.
Assist in a variety of interventional procedures as a key member of the care team.
Maintain a sterile environment and assist with wires, catheters, and other specialized tools.
Prepare and manage contrast media and injectors accurately.
Monitor and record vital signs, procedural materials, and patient data during procedures.
Demonstrate compassionate and professional communication with patients and colleagues.
Comply with all mandatory education, health, and safety requirements.
Administer and document medications as prescribed, in accordance with state and federal regulations and hospital policies.
Qualifications for this IR Tech:
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
ARRT certification in Radiography; IR or Vascular Interventional certification preferred.
Florida Radiologic Technologist license (or eligibility).
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
Prior experience in Interventional Radiology, Special Procedures, or Cath Lab is highly desirable.
