Job Summary
Baptist Medical Center is currently hiring a Spanish Language Interpreter in our Office of Interpreting Service at Baptist Hospital located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN opportunity. The candidate will cover on-call nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
This position may also involve over-the-phone interpretation and sight translation of documents.
As a Language Interpreter, you will be responsible for:
- Clearly and accurately interpreting between target language and source language for caregivers and patients/companions who have limited proficiency in English.
- This position may involve over-the-phone interpretation and sight translation of documents.
- You will work with a diverse group of people across the entire health system, working with numerous cultures. The interpreters are respected and they work in a great tight knit environment!
- Must have 3-5 years Interpreting experience
- Highly preferred to have Medical Translater Certificate
