Job Summary
Baptist Health is currently looking for a Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team in the Collection and Accessioning department at Baptist Medical Center. This is a full-time, day shift opportunity with a weekend rotation.

The Collection and Accessioning department is the section of the laboratory where specimens are received, sorted, entered into the Laboratory Information System, labelled with barcoded labels and processed.
As a Medical Laboratory Assistant II, you will be responsible for:
- Performing a variety of clerical and technical duties associated with the pre- and post-analytical handling of laboratory specimens and results.
- Communicating laboratory results and responds to specimen-related questions from physicians and various other caregivers.
- Collecting blood specimens for routine and special laboratory procedures.
- Utilizing computer functions.
Experience Requirements:
Less than 1 year Medical Laboratory Assistant Experience
Education & Credentials Requirements:
High School Diploma Required
Associate's Degree Preferred
