Baptist Health is currently looking for a Medical Laboratory Technician to join our Medical Bridge Clinic located in Downtown Jacksonville. This is a Part-time Weekends position.

The Medical Bridge Clinic is an innovative new outpatient concept being introduced to the Baptist Health system and the Jacksonville community. This adults-only, referral-based clinic is designed to provide timely, scheduled care for patients who visit the ER with non-urgent needs — helping to reduce emergency room volumes and improve access for high-acuity patients. Key Services Include: Vaccinations, Pregnancy testing, Stitches and minor procedures, Other non-emergent care needs.

As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you’ll play an essential role in supporting diagnostic and patient care activities. Your responsibilities will include processing lab cultures, drawing blood, and collecting urine samples with accuracy and attention to detail. No prior drug testing experience is required—comprehensive training will be provided. Working as a generalist, you’ll perform a variety of laboratory procedures and refer patients to the hospital when additional or specialized testing is needed.

Shift Details: Part-Time, Weekends, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Location: Medical Bridge Clinic - Downtown

As a Medical Laboratory Technician you will be responsible for:

• Maintain expertise and perform technical, specimen collection/processing, LIS, general department, and clerical functions in one or more laboratory sections
• Maintain records of performance as defined in the laboratory's general and sectional policy and procedure manuals
• Maintain records of performance as defined in the SOP manuals.
• May instruct new employees and students.
• Supervised by Director and Section Supervisors, however, can perform all responsibilities of this job description without on-site supervision
