As a Lead Medical Laboratory Assistant III, the ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude and actively promote a collaborative team environment. Strong customer service skills are a must, as this role involves direct, daily interaction with patients and healthcare providers.

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant III, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing the duties of a phlebotomist in an outpatient laboratory setting.
  • Utilizing computer systems in the processing of laboratory specimens.
  • Retrieving specimens from pneumatic tube system and processes specimens according to specimen type.
  • Distributing specimens to different areas of the laboratory.
  • Coordinating specimen pick-ups for referral testing.
  • Preparing specimen transfer lists and packages specimens in accordance with laboratory policy for transport.
