Baptist Medical Center MD Anderson is currently hiring for a Full-Time Days ONPAC New Patient Coordinator to join our BMDA ONPAC Department at our Baptist MD Anderson location here in the Jacksonville, FL area.

Shift Details: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

The team works closely alongside patients and providers. The team member will be comfortable in an office setting, hard worker, customer service and multi task skilled. The department focus is helping MD Anderson patients through their medical process by working with the patient's schedule and confirming patient appointments.

As an ONPAC New Patient Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for managing incoming referrals from physicians, as well as, handling incoming calls from patients to schedule new patients for entry into the cancer center.
  • Gathers accurate information, reviews and explains forms, policies, algorithms, generic oncology information and answers questions from patients.
  • Works with each patient individually to ensure information is entered correctly into the computer system.
  • Additionally, they perform pre-registration, verify insurance, and send continuation of care to facilities for patient follow-up.
  • Initiates the request and communicates with the Oncology New Patient Medical Records Coordinator to begin the collection of outside medical records.

Experience

  • 1-2 years Related Experience Required
