Baptist Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in our Imaging department at Baptist South, located in Jacksonville, FL. This opportunity offers flexible, various shifts and the chance to work with an experienced, collaborative imaging team while making a difference in the lives of patients and families. This is a PRN opportunity.
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, your day revolves around preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, capturing precise functional images, and guiding patients through each step with calm, clear communication. You’ll work closely with physicians to interpret imaging needs, maintain strict safety protocols, and ensure every study is performed with accuracy, care, and clinical attention to detail.
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will:
Administer radioactive medications to patients and perform nuclear medicine diagnostic imaging procedures
Operate nuclear medicine equipment to capture images and assist physicians in diagnosing disease
Ensure compliance with Florida Radiation Control/Radioactive Materials regulations
Maintain patient safety by minimizing radiation exposure to patients, self, and staff
Prepare, calibrate, and sterilize syringes and supplies for imaging procedures
Educate and prepare patients for scans and provide compassionate, professional care
Complete accurate imaging reports and contribute to quality patient outcomes

- Experience working in a hospital setting
License and Certification
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
- Registered Technologist in Nuclear Medicine ARRT (N) Required
- Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist (CNMT) Required Or
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
- Licensed Nuclear Medical Technologist Required
