Patient Access Representative II, Community Provider TAP, Southbank Plaza

Baptist Southbank Plaza is currently hiring for a Full-Time Days Patient Access Representative II to join our Community Provider TAP Department at our Southbank Plaza location here in the Jacksonville, FL area.

Shift Details: Full-Time Monday - Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm; Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm.

This Patient Access Representative II will primarily be a scheduler for Imaging. In this role you will be calling around 30-40 patients a day and the day in the life will look like calling the patients to get them scheduled, completing the registration process, insurance verification, and making sure you have the authorization. You will have a monthly score card to determine how long it takes to wrap up a call and the quality of a call. The ideal candidate will not only reflect the five Baptist Core Values, but will also have call center, authorization, and scheduling experience.

As a Patient Access Representative II, you will be responsible for:

• Registering patients accurately and efficiently
• Utilizing multiple systems and interfaces Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
• Maintaining service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Contributing to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
• Possessing a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
• Maintaining a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Articulating compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Maintaining patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

Experience

• 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required
• 1-2 years Insurance Experience Required
• 1-2 years Healthcare Experience Required

License and Certification

• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) Preferred
