Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Patient Access Supervisor for the Baptist Cardiology office located at the Cardiac Access Center. This position will report to work Monday through Friday.
The Patient Access Supervisor will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Registering patients accurately and efficiently.
- Utilizing multiple systems and interfaces.
- Being Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas.
- Maintaining service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters.
- Contributing to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.).
- Possessing a strong understanding and ability to explain State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO.
- Maintaining a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members including peer leaders in other departments.
- Ability to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms.
- Maintaining patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Assisting in the On-Call rotation for the assigned area including staffing as needed.
- Providing daily leadership to the assigned department in coordination with the PAS Manager.
The hours for this position are typically between 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Depending on the needs of the office, hours may vary on occasion.
