Job Summary

Baptist Health is currently looking to add a PET/CT Technologist to our Float Pool at varied locations in the Jacksonville, FL area. This is a PRN, Varied Shifts opportunity.

This PET Technologist will be responsible for providing patients with radioactive medication and operating imaging technology to track the radiation within the patient’s body. Their duties include sterilizing syringes, preparing patients for a scan, and processing image reports that indicate the presence of disease.

PET Technologist Responsibilities:

  • Performing high-quality diagnostic procedures

  • Knowledge of State of (and adherence to) Florida rules and regulations regarding Radiation Control/Radioactive Materials

  • Protecting patients, self, and others from unnecessary/excessive radiation exposure

  • Complying with mandatory education and health requirements.

Experience Requirements:

  • 1-2 years Experience working in a hospital setting Required

  • 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required

  • 1-2 years Radioactive Material Experience Required

  • 3-5 years Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations

Education & Credential Requirements:

  • Vocational School

  • Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist (CNMT)-NMTCB Required Or

  • Licensed Nuclear Medical Technologist –ARRT Required Or

  • Registered Radiologic Technologist- ARRT Required Or

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)-AHA Required
