Job Summary

Baptist Health is hiring a Program Manager, Patient Safety to join the Risk Management team. This is a full-time opportunity located on the downtown Jacksonville campus of Baptist Health.

The roles primary responsibility will be to assist in advancing and sustaining a culture of safety throughout Baptist Health System. In collaboration with risk and quality leadership, this role develops and implements safety culture and high reliability initiatives and training for improving safety culture and eliminating avoidable harm.

  • Assists in creating and implementing system-wide safety culture curriculum and competencies to advance safety skills and behaviors.
  • Organizes and leads new employee/provider orientation and ongoing safety culture education for leaders, providers and team members on the science of safety.
  • Coordinates/leads Safety Rounds
  • Collaborates with Risk & Quality leadership to implement strategic plans for advancing safety culture and high reliability.
  • Participates in hospital committees to ensure collaborative efforts in monitoring and evaluating identified patient safety problems and assists in problem resolution.

***Licensed Registered Nurse Required

Cert Note: CPPS and/or CPHRM required or to be obtained within one year.

  • Over 5 years Risk Management Experience Required
  • Over 5 years Patient Safety Experience Required

License and Certification

  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) Preferred Or
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
