Job Summary
Baptist Health is hiring a Project Manager to join the Baptist Health Community Health & Well-Being team. This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity located on the downtown Jacksonville campus.
The Project Manager (PM) plays a crucial role supporting the Community Health and Well-Being team with myriad projects and programs including strategic community investments, community partnerships, aligning programs with system goals, youth programming, the triennial Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), team member volunteerism, board committee management, community benefit reporting and special events. Projects are both short- and long-term. The PM is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed effectively, efficiently, in a timely fashion and within budget. The PM will plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed.
Specific responsibilities:
- Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) and hospital implementation plans
- Assist the VP and other team members manage deadlines, processes and procedures related to the CHNA and implementation plans.
- Create board reports and presentations related to annual implementation plan goals.
- Develop relationships with community-based organizations participating in the advancement of the CHNA objectives.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Team member volunteerism
- Create and implement strategy to:
- Vet and develop team member volunteer opportunities
- Communicate available opportunities
- Register for volunteer events
- Train and encourage team members to log volunteer hours
- Work with hospital-based community engagement coordinators to provide opportunities for team members across the Baptist Health system, individually and in groups, to volunteer in the community, particularly with those organizations who are helping Baptist Health address the needs identified in the CHNA implementation plans.
- Monitor, collect and analyze volunteer hours of team members and create a dashboard for reporting.
- Develop team member volunteer recognition programs/opportunities
- Assist the VP manage board service opportunities and tracking for senior leaders.
- Manage requests from organizations who want a Baptist team member or team to volunteer for their event.
- Recruit and sustain a core group of team members who are interested in volunteer opportunities
- Other duties as assigned
- Create and implement strategy to:
- Special events
- Create and manage events that help team members better understand how Baptist connects to the community.
- Create and manage opportunities for Wellness on Wheels to participate in community events. Manage volunteers and supplies.
- Activate the LaVilla Link of the Emerald Trail with activities for the community and for team members.
- Develop and manage Volunteer Expos on each campus.
- Assist with logistics related to youth programming
- Other duties as assigned
- General responsibilities:
- Work with other members of the department to achieve goals and objectives.
- Identify and implement programs and partnerships that advance Baptist Health’s objectives and goals for community health and well-being and create collaborative opportunities.
- Represent Baptist Health on relevant committees that advance Baptist Health’s mission, and community health and well-being objectives.
- Measure and monitor key performance indicators, objectives, and goals.

- 1-2 years Project Management Experience
4+ years managing multiple projects including:
- Volunteer management
- Budgeting, financial oversight
- Knowledge and understanding of the nonprofit sector in Northeast Florida
- Experience with a CHNA
- Program analysis, implementation, and evaluation
