Baptist Health, one of the most respected healthcare systems in Northeast Florida, is hiring a full-time Cardiopulmonary Manager at Wolfson Children’s Hospital located in Jacksonville, FL. This leadership opportunity offers the chance to work with a nationally recognized pediatric healthcare facility that provides specialized pulmonary care to infants, children, and adolescents. The Cardiopulmonary Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations and strategic development of the Pulmonary Services Department at Wolfson Children’s Hospital. In this leadership role, you will manage clinical staff, coordinate quality patient care, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement innovative pulmonary care programs for our pediatric population. This position plays a vital role in maintaining operational excellence and acts as the primary liaison between the Pulmonary Care Department and other interdisciplinary teams within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the Cardiopulmonary and Pulmonary Services Department, including staff supervision, scheduling, and operational planning.
Provide hands-on support and clinical guidance to respiratory therapists, pulmonary technicians, and other healthcare providers.
Collaborate with the Medical Director and senior leadership on clinical protocol development and implementation.
Manage department budget, resource allocation, equipment acquisition, and cost containment strategies.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices in pediatric cardiopulmonary care.
Monitor patient outcomes, staff performance, and quality of care metrics to continuously improve service delivery.
Facilitate ongoing staff training, clinical education, and professional development.
Enhance patient and family satisfaction by promoting compassionate, evidence-based, and efficient care.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Current state licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in pediatric or cardiopulmonary care
Proven leadership experience in a clinical or healthcare management role
Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy, pulmonary diagnostics, and critical care protocols
Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
