Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Referrals Coordinator to join our Orthopedics team at Baptist Clay! This is a Full-Time Days opportunity Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
The Referrals Coordinator will interact with staff, patients, internal departments, physician practices and insurance companies to obtain maximum reimbursement through established authorization procedures and order entry. The referral coordinator is responsible for insurance eligibility and obtaining authorizations.
Candidates should feel comfortable completing the following tasks:
- Multi-tasking and being highly organized, detail oriented with the ability to prioritize workload and team work distribution in an in and out bound call center environment
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must have exceptional customer service skills
- Must be able to accurately complete verification of insurance benefits and authorizations using online tools and/or direct contact with insurance carrier
- Patients should be registered in a timely, accurate, and professional manner which reflects the core values of Baptist Health
- Entering cpap/bipap orders
- Scheduling appointments
- Entering orders
- Answering phone calls/messages.
- Billing, indexing, and calling sleep study result
