Registered Nurse, Cardiac Outpatient Rehab, PRN Days, Baptist Clay

Job Summary

Baptist Health is looking to add a Registered Nurse (RN) to our Cardiac Outpatient Rehab at Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN, day shift opportunity. This Registered Nurse (RN) will perform a variety of functions to include delivering direct patient care during the Phase II cardiac classes. This Registered Nurse (RN) will provide education to the patient and significant others as well as monitor EKG and document all pertinent information for sessions.

As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assessing patients, including evaluating, continuous monitoring, interpreting, communicating, and recording patient conditions during the stress test
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
• Monitors EKG and documents all pertinent information for the session
• Reviewing charts with labs and current conditions of patients with stress test orders to ensure the patient is ready for testing
• Communicating outliers to the Cardiologist
• Direct communication with various physicians regarding patient care issues and handling emergent patient situations
• Performing initial assessment as needed

Education Required

Associate's Degree - Nursing

Education Preferred

Bachelor's Degree - Nursing

Experience

• 1-2 years Clinical Nursing Experience
• 1-2 years Nursing Experience
• Radiology/Imaging Experience
• Fitness/Exercise Science Experience
• Operating Room Experience
• Experience with vascular imaging procedures
• Customer Service Experience
• Experience working in a hospital setting

License and Certification

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required
