Registered Nurse, Diagnostic Cardiology, Part-Time, Baptist Beaches

Job Summary

Baptist Health is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Diagnostic Cardiology unit at Baptist Medical Center Beaches in Jacksonville Beach, Florida.

Baptist Beaches is a highly advanced, extremely well-equipped community hospital that provides a full spectrum of in- and outpatient services and 24-hour emergency care to coastal communities in northeast Florida. This opening is for a Part-Time, Day shift working weekday shifts with a weekend rotation.

As a Registered Nurse the Cardiology Unit, you will be responsible for:

• Performing and monitoring non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures, including ECGs, Holter monitor applications, stress tests (exercise and pharmacologic), and echocardiograms in collaboration with cardiologists and technicians.

• Assessing and preparing patients for diagnostic procedures by reviewing medical history, medications, and allergies, and ensuring informed consent is obtained.

• Monitoring patients during cardiac testing, observing for signs of distress or abnormal responses, and intervening according to established protocols.

• Educating patients and families about upcoming procedures, follow-up care, and cardiac risk factors in a clear and compassionate manner.

• Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, including cardiologists, technicians, and administrative staff, to ensure smooth scheduling and workflow of diagnostic procedures.

• Documenting all patient interactions, assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly in EPIC.

Education Required

Bachelor's Degree - Nursing

Education Preferred

Master's Degree - Nursing

Experience

• 1-2 years Critical Care Experience

License and Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
• Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
• Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required
