Registered Nurse, Pediatric Pre-Op/Recovery Services, Full-Time, Days, Wolfson Children's Hospital

Job Summary

Baptist Hospital is looking for Registered Nurses (RN) to support our Pediatric Pre-Op, PACU, and POPS (phase II of recovery) at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville Florida. This is a full-time day shift position. This Registered Nurse position has a rotating Night and Weekend on-call requirement and will require a 40-minute call response time. This role qualifies for competitive differentials and additional call compensation.

As a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Pre-Op Anesthesia Care Unit, you will:

• Provide for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement
• Organize and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel
• Coordinate of care provided by ancillary services.
• Include patients families in developing an individualized plan of care.
• Educate of patients and families to their disease process and plan of care.
• Responsibilities include: Coordination and preparation of assigned room/case, assessment of patient care needs and the anticipation of needs of the case.
• This position requires call.

Education Required

Associate's Degree - Nursing

Education Preferred

Bachelor's Degree - Nursing

Experience

• 2-3 years Surgical Services Experience
• 2-3 years Critical Care Nursing Experience

License and Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
• Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) Preferred Or
• Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred Or
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required
