Job Summary

Baptist Health is looking to add a Registered Nurse (RN) to our Stress Lab at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Part-Time, day shift opportunity working weekends and one day week, 6:0am-3pm. No Holidays. Experience preferred.

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care during Phase II cardiac rehabilitation classes, including EKG monitoring, patient education, and documentation of session details. This role requires effective communication with physicians regarding patient care and the ability to manage emergent situations. Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and a commitment to patient safety are essential. The position may involve extended periods of standing or sitting and occasional lifting of equipment or patients.

As a Registered Nurse in the Stress Lab, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assessing Heart Center patients, including evaluating, continuous monitoring, interpreting, communicating and recording patient conditions during the stress test.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
  • Reviewing charts with labs and current conditions of patients with stress test orders to ensure patient is ready for testing.
  • Communicating outliers to the Cardiologist.
  • Direct communication with various physicians regarding patient care issues and handles emergent patient situations
  • Performing initial assessment as needed.

Experience

  • 1-2 years Clinical Nursing Experience

  • Radiology/Imaging Experience
  • Fitness/Exercise Science Experience
  • Cardiac Experience Required
  • Experience with vascular imaging procedures
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Experience working in a hospital setting

License and Certification

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
