Job Summary

Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist for our free-standing Emergency Department Silverleaf. This is a full-time, day shift opportunity. We are looking to hire an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in high-stress, fast-paced environment.

Registered Respiratory Therapist, Job Responsibilities:

  • Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with breathing disorders

  • Administering respiratory therapies

  • Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests

  • Monitoring and managing mechanical ventilators for patients who require respiratory support

  • Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans

  • Providing patient education and support on proper breathing techniques, medication usage, and lifestyle changes

  • Maintaining accurate and complete patient assessments, treatments, and progress documentation ​

Education & Credential Requirements:

  • Associate of Science Required

  • Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS) Preferred

  • Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy Preferred

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Required

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification Required
