Job Summary
We are looking for a Surgical Technologist Clinical Coordinator to support our Main Operating Room Orthopedic Focus at Baptist Medical Center Downtown. This Surgical Technologist Coordinator position will be a full-time days position.
As a Surgical Technologist Clinical Coordinator, your responsibilities include:
- Works with entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety
 - Acts as resource for new Surgical Techs
 - Responsible for specific specialty for coordination, preparation of assigned rooms/cases
 - Assessment of patients, anticipation of needs of the case.
 - Facilitates any special needs of the surgeon, meets with vendors and keeps preference sheets current.
 - Is the specialist for a given service. Is able to perform any role in the service - scrub, assist or circulate.
 - Facilitates timely turnovers and 1st case starts.
 - Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technologist CAAHEP or ABHES Program
 - OR - Previous experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting
 - Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from NBSTA or NCCT required
