Surgical Technologist Clinical Coordinator, OR Service Line

Job Summary

We are looking for a Surgical Technologist Clinical Coordinator to support our Main Operating Room Orthopedic Focus at Baptist Medical Center Downtown. This Surgical Technologist Coordinator position will be a full-time days position.

As a Surgical Technologist Clinical Coordinator, your responsibilities include:

• Works with entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety
• Acts as resource for new Surgical Techs
• Responsible for specific specialty for coordination, preparation of assigned rooms/cases
• Assessment of patients, anticipation of needs of the case.
• Facilitates any special needs of the surgeon, meets with vendors and keeps preference sheets current.
• Is the specialist for a given service. Is able to perform any role in the service - scrub, assist or circulate.
• Facilitates timely turnovers and 1st case starts.
• Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technologist CAAHEP or ABHES Program
• OR - Previous experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from NBSTA or NCCT required
