Job Summary

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Patient Transporter in our Patient Escort Services Department at Baptist Medical Center Clay. This is a FT Day shift opportunity, Monday through Friday 6:30a-3p with holiday coverage.

The primary responsibilities of the Transporter are:

  • accept patient move assignments from the Dispatcher
  • to provide a safe and efficient transport of the patient;
    • This may be done utilizing a wheelchair, stretcher, or bed and must always be done in a quick yet safe manner.
  • work closely with the nursing staff to ensure that continuity of patient care is maintained at all times.
  • be compliant with mandatory education and health requirements.

Experience

  • Experience working in a hospital setting
  • Customer Service Experience

License and Certification

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
