Job Summary

Baptist Health is hiring a Wellness Coach to join the PATH Health & Wellness team. This is a PRN position - no benefits, no guarantee hours.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and empathetic Corporate Health Coach to join our team. This role is focused on guiding employees toward healthier lifestyles through one-on-one coaching, group sessions, and wellness workshops. This role combines motivational techniques, coaching strategies, and evidence-based health knowledge to support sustainable, long-term change. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of behavior change, a passion for preventive health, and the ability to foster a culture of well-being in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct confidential wellness consultations to assess employees’ health risks, lifestyle habits, and readiness for change
  • Develop individualized coaching plans that align with employees’ personal goals and company wellness objectives (e.g., stress management, nutrition, fitness, sleep, smoking cessation)
  • Conduct biometric screenings for corporate clients, including body composition analysis, blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose measurements
  • Deliver engaging one-on-one and group coaching sessions, both in person and virtually, that empower employees to take ownership of their health
  • Use evidence-based coaching methods such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Coaching, and Positive Psychology to drive sustainable behavioral changes
  • Facilitate wellness workshops and lunch-and-learn sessions to promote health education and team engagement
  • Monitor individual and program-wide outcomes; evaluate progress and adapt approaches to ensure measurable impact
  • Support employees in navigating health benefits, employee assistance programs (EAPs), and available health resources
  • Maintain detailed and confidential coaching records in compliance with HIPAA and organizational guidelines
  • Stay current on industry trends, digital wellness tools, and corporate health strategies to inform programming

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion, Nutrition, Exercise Science, Psychology, or a related field
  • Health coaching certification (e.g., NBHWC, ACE Health Coach, Wellcoaches) required
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, encourage participation, and support diverse employee populations
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Technologically savvy and comfortable using wellness portals, data dashboards, and virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams)
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple client engagements and priorities
  • Ability to travel locally in Northeast Florida to various employer client locations

  • 1-2 years Experience conducting health risk assessments
  • Less than 1 year Customer Service Experience

License and Certification

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
