Baptist Health Foundation announces new board members, Six appointed to board of trustees

Baptist Health Foundation announced the appointment of six new members to its board of trustees: Cindy Sadler, Glenn Ullmann, Christine Granfield, MD, Adam Dimitrov, MD, Vikram Gopal, MD, AGAF, and Dennis L. Blackburn, Esq.

The new board members will serve three-year terms. In addition, chair-elect Kurt W. Mori, MD, vice chair-elect Tabitha Furyk, and treasurer-elect Fred (Fel) Lee will serve two-year terms.

Dr. Mori is a board-certified radiologist with Mori, Bean & Brooks, PA, and medical director of the Vascular Laboratory at Baptist Jacksonville. Furyk is a philanthropist and children’s health advocate and a member of the PGA Tour Wives Association. Lee is a Ponte Vedra-based investor and entrepreneur who recently served on the Duval County School Board.

Cindy Sadler, a member of the Birth and Newborn Advisory Council of Baptist Medical Center, is a certified childbirth educator and doula. She was the director of development at Dignity U Wear from 2005 to 2008 and the executive director of the Spence TriLegacy Foundation from 2002-2005. She is a graduate of Leadership Jacksonville and currently a member of the Women’s Giving Alliance.

Glenn Ullmann is co-founder and partner of Ullmann Financial in Ponte Vedra Beach. A graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, Ullmann spent seven years on active duty as a pilot, and served during the Iran/Iraq War. He earned a master’s degree in international affairs from the University of Oklahoma, and is a member of the Financial Planning Association, the Estate Planning Council of Northeast Florida and the Jewish Family & Community Services.

Dennis L. Blackburn is a Jacksonville attorney and the managing member of Blackburn & Company L.C., which specializes in business, trusts and estates and tax law. He previously served on the Board of Trustees from 2003 to 2014, including stints as chair and vice chair. He is a member of the Jacksonville and American Bar Associations, and has held leadership positions on the Estate Planning Council of Northeast Florida, Cerebral Palsy of Jacksonville and the National Christian Foundation Jacksonville.

Dr. Christine Granfield is a board-certified radiologist with Mori, Bean, & Brooks, P.A., and former medical director of Breast Imaging for Baptist Health. She was also the lead physician in the founding of the Hill Breast Center. She graduated from the Tulane School of Medicine and served two fellowships at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. She is a member of the Society of Breast Imaging and a founding member of both the Foundation Advisory Council and the Physician Advisory Council to the Hill Breast Center.

Dr. Vikram Gopal is a board-certified gastroenterologist and internist at the Borland-Groover Clinic and a member of the faculty at Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center. The Jacksonville native earned a Doctor of Medicine from Emory University, where he is a member of the school’s Hall of Fame. He is a board member of the Borland-Groover Clinic and has served on the boards of the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association.

Dr. Adam Dimitrov is a board-certified family physician in Ponte Vedra Beach, the associate medical director for Quality Improvement for Baptist Primary Care and chair of Baptist Primary Care’s Patient-Centered Medical Home Task Force. He is a graduate of the University of Miami Medical School and served four years as a faculty physician at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, Md.
